Dow McVean is President of McVean Trading and Investments, LCC, a Futures Commission Merchant based in Memphis, TN specializing in both domestic and international livestock, grain, and financial markets. He serves on the company’s Board of Governors as well as Managing Member of Dow McVean Capital Management, LLC, a commodity trading advisor registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

 

As the son of the firm’s founder, Charlie McVean, Dow gained unique exposure to all aspects of the commodity business with special emphasis on agricultural markets. Dow has been with the firm for 30 years and brings a wealth of firsthand knowledge and many industry contacts to the 80-employee company through his extensive travels to major livestock and agricultural production areas in the U.S., Europe, China, South America, and Mexico.
